Footed Tights sewing pattern – baby, toddler, teen (0-14 years)
Here’s your chance to make a set of Footed Tights for a baby, a toddler or a teen up to 14 years old.
These tights look great and are perfect for school uniforms, playground tumblers, little crawlers and everyone in between. You can dress up with airy lace tights or bundle up with warm winter worthy pantyhose made from a sweater. Or you can even add trim to accentuate your one of a kind legwear. There are endless possibilities.
The tights can be made from any knit fabric with at least 25% stretch (a stretch gauge is included in the pattern). This means cotton lycra, stretch lace, stretch chiffon, polyblend, rayon spandex etc are all good choices.
The tights are easy and quick to make. The pattern can be made from print to sew in one hour. This pattern is beginner friendly and offers skills to learn such as French seams and how to ruffle or ruche fabric.
The Abby’s Footed Tights have the following features:-
- An elastic waistband or
- A yoga waistband
- A French seam for no raw edges
- A cloth diaper fit for the smaller sizes
All the benefit and comfort of leggings – but with FEET! A great layering essential.
The pattern and tutorial come in two languages – English and German.
