Canvas Basket FREE pattern and tutorial
|This is a Canvas Basket FREE pattern and tutorial from the designer Stubbornly Crafty.
This is a fun and quick tutorial on how to make a little canvas basket. The designer shows you a super simple, super quick version as well as a more intricate variation. And she describes both as fab!
The simple variation is one of the quickest projects she has ever made. It’s perfect for when you need to whip something up to put a sweet treat and card in for a friend’s birthday to make it just a little more spectacular. The designer made one for her first grader’s teacher. Her first-grader loves to draw pictures and give gifts, so she filled it with things her class needed as well as a treat and card.
You can make this Canvas Basket out of quilters cotton as well. The designer made these two just out of quilters cotton without any interfacing. It’d be cute tied with a ribbon or fastened with a clothespin or safety pin as a gift bag, too.
What’s needed to make a Canvas Basket:
- ⅓” yard of two coordinating canvas fabrics,
- Ribbon version (at least one ⅜” ribbon spool and one ⅝”),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
The designer has used a seam allowance of ¼”.
