This is the Boy Shorts sewing pattern from the designer Lowland Kids.
Don’t these shorts look great? The optional hidden pockets and a strip of fabric along the bottom of the shorts give them a very nice finishing touch.
These shorts come in lots of sizes from Newborn to 9/10.
The designer rates her project as suitable for a beginner sewist. She says anyone with a machine can do it!
What’s needed to make a pair of Boy’s Shorts:
- The designer says that French terry fabric works best but any knit fabric will work. You’ll need NB – 4T: ½ a yard and, 5T – 9/10: ¾ of a yard,
- Drawstring (optional),
- 1″ or 1 1/4″ of elastic,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
The pdf pattern comes with a list of fabric/notion requirements and a pictured tutorial.
