Bodysuit sewing pattern (Preemie to 3T) This is the Bodysuit pdf sewing pattern from the designer Brindille and Twig.

This digital file includes a full photo tutorial that shows you how to sew this pattern together. It also has the actual pattern pieces for cutting out after printing. Also included are layers so you can print just the size you like. Also comes with an A0 format if you need a print shop copy.

The tutorial includes two binding techniques so you can use which one you’re most comfortable with!

This project is perfect for a confident beginner sewer.

What is needed to make a Bodysuit:

  • Knit fabric: Although many types will work, the designer suggests a cotton jersey knit. You will need 0.5 yards for sizes Preemie to 9-12 months, and 0.75 yards for sizes 12-18 months to 2-3T.
  • Knit fabric for binding: a stretchy jersey knit works for this, a lightweight rib knit will as well. You will need 0.13 yards for all sizes.
  • Three sets of snaps: the designer suggests size 14 (aka 5/16″ or 8 mm).
  • Basic sewing supplies.
  • Sewing machine – Overlock machine / Serger – If you don’t own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
