Bedside pocket organizer – free sewing tutorial

Tutorial for bedside pockets. This organiser can be sewn any size and is handy for so many people. I've made one for my grandmother in her care home.

Sometimes it can be hard to keep the kids rooms tidy and organised. Things can end up on the floor when they need to be put safely away, or need to be on hand close to the bed. This bedside organiser helps the smaller children keep their bed time story book close at hand, along with a soft toy or two.

If your little one is in bed sick, then they can reach over and grab a book, coloring book, toys, tissues etc without having to get out of bed. No more calls of ‘mommy’ all day and running up and down stairs!

free sewing pattern for a bedside organiser that slips under the matress to keep books, magazines, toys, glasses etc

This hanging bed organizer with pockets is ideal for so many people. Every room should have one, don’t just save it for the kids’ beds!

  • For the kids to keep their toys and books to hand and off the floor.
  • For the elderly and sick to keep tissues, books, medications, reading glasses, the phone etc, all close at hand.
  • For the hubby or partner to keep his fishing magazines or whatever else he reads in bed
  • And just for you if you have stuff that needs organizing. Do you ever wake up at night, or sit upright just before dropping off to sleep because you just remembered something? Rest easy and get a good night’s sleep by keeping a notepad and pen on hand – jot it down and forget it.
