|
Here’s a fabulous digital sewing pattern for a Baby Footed Coverall. Doesn’t it look so cute?
As the designer says – this coverall is sure to get tons of wear. And with snaps all the way down the leg, it’s an easy change!
If you would like to add a hood to the coverall the designer, Brindille & Twig, have added a very helpful tutorial.
The designer rates her project as suitable for an intermediate sewer.
The pattern comes in lots of sizes, from Preemie – 3T, as follows:-
- Preemie,
- Newborn,
- 0-3 months,
- 3-6 months,
- 6-9 months,
- 9-12 months,
- 12-18 months,
- 18-24 months,
- 2-3T.
For the main fabric, the designer recommends that you use Knit fabric. She suggests a cotton/elastane blend jersey or french terry knit. And for the cuffs, Rib-knit or a medium weight stretchy jersey will work.
What you will need to make a Baby Footed Coverall:-
- Knit fabric for main fabric – 0.75 yards for sizes Preemie to 9-12M, 1-yard for sizes 12-18M to 2-3T,
- Knit fabric for cuffs – 0.25 yards for all sizes.
- 11 sets of snaps and snap fastener. The designer suggests size 14 snaps (aka: 5/16″ or 8mm),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- Overlock machine / Serger – If you don’t own one, you can use a small zig-zag stitch in place of the serged seam.
