Portrait Dress sewing pattern (sizes 0-14)
The Portrait dress is a relaxed fit one-piece dress with lots of sleeve options. It is perfect for the cooler months or for a little extra shoulder protection from the sun.
The designer, Boo! Designs, has made this pattern with lots of options as follows:-
- Two lengths – dress or top.
- Four styles of sleeve, with various finishing options – regular sleeve, bishop sleeve, circle sleeve, mini sleeve, and a ruffle add-on.
The designer rates this project as suitable for an adventurous beginner sewer, someone who has nailed a few easy projects and is ready for something a little more challenging.
When making these dresses the designer suggests you use stretch/knit fabric like Polyester Spandex, Nylon Spandex, Cotton Lycra, French Terry, European Sweat, Stretch Rayon, Bamboo Lycra with 50-75% stretch factor, and 4-way stretch.
