Hooded Robe FREE sewing pattern (3/4T)
Here’s a fantastic Hooded Robe FREE sewing pattern from Abby at Sew Much Ado.
We hope you have little kids who enjoy wearing robes because with this awesome pattern you can make their dreams come true. You know if you make one of these robes it will be perfect to wear on chilly mornings or evenings and will be just what is required after bath time. These snuggly robes also make for a cozy time while watching a movie!
And Abby has made this robe extra special by adding a hood. You can make the robe with both french terry, or with fleece, and you can make it with or without pockets. Which fabric will your kid prefer and will they want a pocket or two?
You can buy some fabric with a great design pattern like the one with the Beauty and the Beast on the picture below, or you can use one that you already have. Either way, this robe will be extra special since it’s made by you!
What you will need to make a Hooded Robe:-
- 2-yards (60″ wide) of French terry knit, terry, or Anti-pill fleece,
- Bias tape for finishing visible seam allowances (optional),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
Although the FREE pattern is sized 3/4T, Abby says it will likely fit a size above and below as well. You can just add or remove length as needed!
All seam allowances are 1/2″ unless otherwise noted. You can use a narrow and long zig-zag stitch to accommodate the stretch in the fleece or use a serger if you have one.
The designer has received excellent customer feedback from lots of people who have downloaded and used her free pattern and tutorial. Here are a few examples:-
