French Terry Skirt FREE sewing tutorial
|This is the French Terry Skirt FREE sewing tutorial from the designer Sew A Little Seam.
The designer made this French terry skirt for her daughter Brynn. It’s a super easy and quick sew and you don’t even need a pattern!
These skirts are great for getting on and off quickly and are also super comfortable.
The designer loves sewing with French terry. It has a smooth outer layer with a looped inner layer that you find in some sweatshirts and sweatpants. This is not the same as regular terry, which is what towels are made of. Because it’s a thicker, less stretchy material, it is easy to sew.
Please NOTE that this skirt is for an 18-month size, but you should be able to adjust it pretty easily to suit your needs.
What you’ll need to make a French Terry Skirt:
- 1/4 to 1/2 yard of French terry fabric,
- 1/4 yard of baby rib-knit, regular rib knit, or a lycra material,
- One medium-weight ballpoint needle,
- 1″ elastic,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
