When making the Dylan Bodysuit you have various options. You can sew them with short or long sleeves, and the closure can be Velcro or snaps.
The edges are finished off with knit binding which is very useful for a garment that will get lots of washes. The knit binding will easily iron back into shape. If you want to make your own binding the designer has included instructions with the download.

What you will need to make the Baby and toddler onesie bodysuit
- Use knit fabric that is a light to medium weight cotton. It can be interlock, jersey or double knit.
- Size preemie to 12 months = 5/8 yard of fabric – 45” or 60” wide
- Size 18 months to 6 years = 3/4 yard of fabric – 60” wide
- 1″ wide knit elastic
- Polyester thread
- Basic sewing supplies
- Sewing machine.
