Anna Pinafore Dress FREE sewing pattern (Size 3)
This is the FREE sewing pattern in size 3 for the Anna Pinafore Dress from the outstanding designer Sew A Little Seam.
Size 3 fits little girls with a chest of 21″ and a height of 36″ to 38″.
The designer grew up in the times of The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, so when her daughter started to get the princess bug, she was pretty excited to have an excuse to sew all the princess things. Her daughter’s current obsession is anything Anna & Elsa, so she made her a version of the dress toddler Anna wore in the movie for their recent trip to Disney World.
The designer hacked one of her other awesome patterns the Hadley pattern to make the pinafore, but as a treat to all of us she made up a FREE size 3 pattern you can find below by clicking on the purple button.
If your child is a different size and you have the Hadley pattern, it’s pretty easy to modify by extending the length of the front bodice, until it hits a bit above the belly button. For the back add an extra inch to your front bodice width and cut out two, instead of cutting on the fold. Cut two rectangles for the skirt the width of the fabric and the desired length and then follow the directions in the tutorial for putting it together.
This pattern was designed for woven fabrics.
